One of Florida’s greatest pure property is its sugar-white sand beaches. Henderson Beach State Park options more than 6000 feet of scenic shoreline bordering the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Named for its earlier owners, the park was purchased in 1983 from the Henderson family estate for thirteen.1 million dollars. The primary acquisition below the Save Our Coast program, Henderson Seaside State Park was opened to the general public on March 29, 1991.
The Henderson household wanted the land preserved to guard the unique natural features of the area, and to supply the public with a chance to enjoy the surroundings. At present, the 208-acre park is a habitat for sand pines, scrub oaks, southern magnolias, dune rosemary, and a wide range of wildflowers. Boardwalks are provided.
Camping at Henderson Beach State Park gives 60 campsites which are positioned in our secondary dune system. The websites embody water and electrical hookups with a central dump station. Every camping loop has entry to air conditioned and heated bathhouse amenities and coin operated laundry machines. A separate seashore access boardwalk with out of doors shower for rinsing off the sand is included in our campground area.
Non-furbearing pets, akin to reptiles, birds or fish, have to be confined or below the bodily control of the owner. Some animals may be prohibited on park property. Visitors pay a non-refundable $6.70 reservation price (per reservation, not per night) when making a reservation online or utilizing the call center. This charge is collected on the time of reservation.
Dogs are NOT allowed on the beach. Listed below are the principles for the park: Dogs are allowed at Henderson Beach State Park Campground and trails for no additional fee, but they should be saved on a leash no longer than 6 feet when exterior your automobile, and properly cleaned up after. Canines are allowed at tent websites however not the cabins or beach. Pets cannot be left unattended at the campsites.
